What Others Are Saying
“Great guide for new exercisers and elite athletes alike. This book gives practical tips for exercise, nutrition, ways to get rid of morning sickness and more. I found it really easy to understand and follow. Offers specifics on exercises and nutrition (even gives a sample menu with 50 different meal ideas). It covers a lot of what your doctor doesn’t necessarily tell you that you are curious to know when you are pregnant (i.e. is this exercise ok to do while pregnant? what else can I do to relieve stress and sleep better?) Well written with relatable stories and sound advice. Highly recommend to anyone looking for ways to stay healthy and feel good during their pregnancy!” – Amy
“I love the ‘healthy’ snacks options! This is what I struggle most with – sweet cravings. I definitely found a few great ideas already! I love the meal plan sample, it is a great guideline on how much to eat. Thank you for all inspiration…” – Lilas
“What is the secret to a healthy pregnancy? Nutrition and exercise of course! But what does that really mean? What is the difference between a healthy life style, and a healthy pregnancy? Are there things you shouldn’t eat? Exercises that are too dangerous? This book has those answers and more. Easy and quick to read, this book is set to provide expectant mothers with knowledge! Topics range from foods that are safe to eat, foods to avoid (and more interestingly, WHY you should avoid them.) an example menu, facts about exercises and which exercises are going to benefit your changing body most and much more. This is not a trendy “Loose weight while pregnant” book. Deanna Schober presents her information in a non-judgmental, “I’ve been there too.” fashion that is ralatable and reliable. If you are pregnant, or trying to get pregnant and want to learn more about the health and fitness side of pregnancy, this is the book for you.” -Stacy
“Thank you for providing some of the best inspiration and information I’ve found for the pregnant athlete!” -Jill
“I’ve followed Deanna’s blog for years, in total awe of her transformation from everyday mom to superhero, and then to see her apply those same fitness and health regimens throughout her pregnancy to not only survive, but thrive, has been a total inspiration! I’ve passed on her instagram and twitter accounts to every friend I have, pregnant or not, because she makes the concept of living healthy and still maintaining a regular family life (even while growing a new life!) seem not only totally doable, but fun and enviable! Easy to read, easy to apply to any lifestyle.. it’s a win-win for any mom!” -Ann

I made all the mistakes so you don’t have to
I have four children, three of which were born during an era of my life when I didn’t understand health and fitness. In fact, I was downright unhealthy. I never exercised because I was afraid it would hurt the baby. I ate Lean Cuisines for every meal and drank caffeine-free diet sodas, believing I was making healthy choices. I had every pregnancy woe known to (wo)man – constant heartburn, rapid weight gain, muscle cramps, and was in a constant state of discomfort. My labors were impossible because I had no strength.
When I became pregnant with my fourth, I was finally fit! I had not only lost the baby weight from my previous pregnancies, but I had visible abs and was lean for the first time in my life. I was flipping tires and sprinting across football fields, for fun. I was eating VEGETABLES, all the time! I loved fitness and nutrition so much that I took courses to become a certified nutrition coach, and wrote regularly for my husband’s fitness website, CoachCalorie.com. I thought having a fit pregnancy would be easy for me, but I had a lot to learn. Like you, I had all the same questions listed above. I researched tirelessly to find the answers, answers that made sense to me based on SCIENCE, not old wives tales. This information became the Fit To Be Pregnant website!
I decided to write the Fit To Be Pregnant ebook to put all of that information in one easy-to-read, simple, no nonsense guide. 12 easy steps to follow that I promise will greatly improve the way your pregnancy feels.
