I am so excited to announce my first EVER live, in-person event for the moms in my community, the Strength in Mother Retreat and Workshop.
This past year, after years of coaching via email, I added online, face-to-face calls to most of my programs and experimented with online workshops where we all got to chat with each other about our struggles with food, dieting, and self-care after having babies.
After my very first online workshop where everyone shared via video, I hung up and cried from the power of it. I knew I was tapping into something magical, and that I had to keep going. If this was so transformative for everyone on a video call, imagine if we had all been sitting in a room together…
I remember being a new mom and feeling totally isolated. Not only was I overwhelmed with all of my responsibilities, but I was struggling with my body and food. This was all the perfect storm of crap that made me want to hide in my house with my babies, who loved me no matter what.
Now that my kids are older and I’ve devoted my life to helping moms overcome these food and body struggles, I see a need.
We need connection. We need to know that we’re not the only ones who are struggling. We need to have someone look at us and say “I totally know where you’re coming from, and I’ve been there too, and here’s how I climbed my way out.”
Last spring I started the Strength In Mothers Mentorship with this idea in mind, and this group of women have blown me away with their support and connection with one another. It was everything I had hoped it could be and then some. Each week they learn new concepts with me, but then bring their struggles to each other and brainstorm ways to get through it, TOGETHER.
So I knew I had to go the distance, even though this is really scary for me, and create an in-person experience where all of this can happen in a room, face to face.
Because what I’ve learned being in my own group with women who really get me is that Facebook groups are great, video calls are better, but there is NOTHING like being in a room together, face-to-face.
I was actually flying to Boston to meet with that group when I had the idea: Who needs this connection and face time MORE than my community of moms, who are all struggling in silence alone, thinking something is wrong with them? What if I could somehow bring them together, teach them how to achieve their ideal post-baby body without all the misery, and let them share and connect with one another too?
What started as a thought is now a THING: happening September 27-29th in Austin, TX.
We’ll come together in a casual, intimate setting (there are less than 20 spots available) to relax and rejuvenate, but you’ll also have the opportunity to learn from me and others about the biggest common struggles we have with our bodies and food.
So if you’re struggling with…
- feeling disconnected, stuck, and uninspired
- feeling like no one understands your specific struggles with food, exercise, and self-care
- compulsive eating, nighttime eating, weekend eating, stress or emotional eating
- obsession with food and your body, and it’s stealing the joy of motherhood
- counting calories and macros, restricting your favorite foods, and feeling like you’re getting nowhere
- nothing seems to stick and you can’t figure out why
- having the scale make or break your mood
- having trouble accepting your body after having a baby
- following and failing at diets and workout programs over and over again but can’t figure out why
- feeling overwhelmed with the idea of making yourself a priority while fulfilling responsibilities to family and career
…then please join us for a weekend of healing, connection, and rejuvenation!
You’ll leave the retreat with new lifelong friends, new tools and strategies to practice in your daily life, and a full tank so you can get back to your families a happier, more relaxed version of yourself.
Look, I understand what a big ask this is to leave your family for the weekend and spend money on yourself. I know that this is a very un-mom-like thing to do, and that it’s easier to just stay home and not ask for what you want/need. But giving in to this resistance is EXACTLY what keeps us stuck, exhausted, and resentful instead of growing and feeling better!
And to hopefully make this a little bit easier decision for you, everyone who registers by Thursday (7/4) at midnight is going to be given my Strength In Mothers self-coaching program ($197 value). This is the exact curriculum that I use with my 1:1 clients and Mentorship, but you’ll do it at your own pace (if you already own the program, you can sub for a group coaching call with me!)
As moms, we are always BREATHING OUT for everyone else. Isn’t it time to take a deep breath IN for yourself?
Earlybird pricing is only available through August 1st, and the bonus expires Thursday at midnight!
See you LIVE in September,
